Based on the statistics and sorting of the inscriptions unearthed in the Yin ruins,this paper analyzes the composition and nature of the ethnic groups in Yin ruins,and then analyzes the social structure,settlement pattern,family structure,ethnic distribution and ethnic relations of yin-du in the late Shang dynasty.In the introduction,the specific words and concepts involved in this paper are explained,the research history of the ethnic inscriptions and the Yin ruins ethnic groups is reviewed,and the purpose and content of this study are proposed.The first chapter systematically sorts out the clan inscriptions unearthed in the Yin Ruins,and combines the oracle bone inscriptions and other documents to sort out and classify the ethnic groups seen in the Yin Ruins.Distinguish 90 groups as ethnic groups that live in Yin Ruins,5 groups of ethnic groups that do not live in Yin Ruins,and 12 types with private names.It also analyzes the nature,duration and geographical distribution of ethnic groups one by one.The second chapter focuses on the relationship between ethnic groups in Yin Ruins.There are 15 groups of ethnic groups in Yin Ruins from the same tomb.The relationship between ethnic groups mainly includes marriage relationship and donation relationship.There are 9 groups of ethnic relations reflected in the combined inscriptions.The relationship reflected in the inscriptions of the combined clan can be divided into four categories: the association of ethnic groups,the relationship between the mother clan and the branch clan,the marriage relationship and the coordinate relationship.The third chapter analyzes the relations between the 18 groups of ethnic groups in and outside the Yin capital,and concludes that there are three main relationships: one is the ethnic group members sent by the ethnic groups living in Yin ruins;One is the part of the members of ethnic group from the Feudatory States living in the Yin Ruins.The third category is the Yin ruins ethnic groups who migrated to different places.The fourth chapter,through the unearthed data of the ethnic groups in the ruins of Yin ruins,analyzes the ethnic groups' settlement pattern and ethnic fiefdoms distribution in different periods.The inscription character,distribution range and users of the special inscription " " are discussed in this paper.
