Luoyang is the capital of the Eastern Han Dynasty, while Nanyang is the emperor's hometown of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Both of them are located in the Central Plains, and they are not far from each other,so they have a dominant position in politics, economy and culture.A large number of acrobatics images were unearthed in the tombs of Han Dynasty in two places.Based on the acrobatics images unearthed in the tombs of Han Dynasty in two places, this paper discusses the Han people's concept of life and death and how their burial beliefs are expressed and transformed through acrobatics images,as well as the special functions of acrobatics in the burial system of Han Dynasty. The paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the materials mastered in this subject, and summarizes the relatively well-preserved Han tombs unearthed in the two places.Through combing,it can be known that the Han tombs unearthed in the two places are mostly concentrated in the late Western Han Dynasty to the late Eastern Han Dynasty. The second chapter classifies the images of acrobatics unearthed in the Han tombs of the two places, and explores their similarities and differences.Through analysis,it can be seen that the common types of acrobatics in the two places mainly include handstand, jumping pills, showing kindness, training animals and throwing pots, etc. There are differences and similarities in performance forms and artists' images, among which the types and forms of acrobatics in Nanyang are more abundant. The third chapter combs the images of acrobatics images in the Han tombs of the two places according to the time clues, and analyzes their position in the specific tomb shape and the configuration relationship with other funerary objects and portrait subjects in the tombs.Generally speaking, the images of the acrobatics images in the two places are mainly placed in the first half of the tomb, and the themes that are often collocated with them mainly include the themes of daily life, exorcism, epidemic prevention and immortal promotion. The fourth chapter focuses on the conversion of ideas and images, that is,the Han people's concept of life and death and their belief in tombs are conveyed through the images of acrobatics, which not only clearly reflect the Han people's outlook on soul, immortality and life in the underworld, but also have many functions, such as decorating tombs, offering more important sacrifices, entertaining gods and entertaining people.
