Attachment,as an important symbol of individual emotional socialization,refers to the tendency of an individual to form a firm emotional bond with others of special significance,which can provide sufficient security and comfort for the individual.Adolescent's initial emotional attachment object is the mother,and the interaction mode between mother and child is the basis of individual social interaction,so the mother plays a vital role in the growth of children.Previous studies pay more attention to the relationship between general parental behavior and external parenting styles and children's emotional development.In recent years,researchers' interest has turned to levels of mindfulness in parents.However,there is still much room for research on parents' meta-cognition and meta-affective processes,such as mindful traits and how mindful parenting affects the emotional communication process between mothers and their children.Therefore,this study is to explore the mindful awareness level of the mother and the children of the relationship between attachment and its possible influence of other variables.In this study,online answers were used for investigation and research.At the middle school,391 students choose Tianjin as the research object and their mother.Three scales,namely,the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale(MAAS),the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment Scale(IPPA)and the Chinese Version of the Mindfulness in Parenting Questionnaire(MIPQ).We examined the predictive relationship between maternal mindful traits and children's attachment,and also explored the mediating role of maternal mindful parenting and the moderating role of children's gender.The results of this study are as follows :(1)The maternal mindfulness level can positively predict the parent-child attachment level,and the higher the maternal mindfulness level,the higher the parent-child attachment level;(2)The maternal mindfulness level could significantly positively predict the level of mindful parenting.The higher the maternal mindfulness level was,the higher the maternal mindfulness level was.(3)The maternal mindful parenting level can significantly positively predict the parent-child attachment level,and the higher the maternal mindful parenting level,the higher the parent-child attachment level;(4)Mothers' mindful parenting played a partial mediating role in the relationship between mothers' mindful parenting and parent-child attachment.In other words,mothers' mindful parenting affects parent-child attachment through the level of mindful parenting.The higher the level of mothers' mindful parenting,the higher the level of mindful parenting,and the higher the level of parent-child attachment.(5)The gender of children plays a moderating role in the mediating pathway through which the level of mothers' mindfulness affects parent-child attachment.The gender of children moderates the relationship between the level of mothers' mindfulness parenting and parent-child attachment.This study emphasizes that the parent-child attachment relationship of junior high school students is affected by the level of maternal mindfulness and maternal mindful rearing,and is moderated by the gender of children.Therefore,for junior high school students in the growth and development stage,the higher the maternal level of mindfulness and mindful parenting,the more conducive to the formation of a good parent-child attachment relationship.At the same time for the junior high school students of different genders,mothers should also be flexible.
