There are significant differences between stutterers and non stutterers in language expression,and stutterers tend to have more negative emotion and social anxiety.Different types of stutterers may have their own differences in the above aspects.This study will investigate the differences in language style,negative emotion and social anxiety among stutterers,non-stutterers and different types of stutterers,and explored the relationship between language style,negative emotion and social anxiety among stutterers.Study 1 examined the language expression style of stallings and advancings.This study selected 1231 students from grades 1-6 in three primary schools in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Shandong Province.Students completed the two tasks of reading materials and reading pictures and speaking,and recorded the language expressions of the subjects.The children's stuttering degree was assessed by interviewing the teacher and the SSI-4 Stuttering Rating Scale.127 stutterers with more severe stuttering were selected,and the stuttering types were classified according to the stallings and advancings characteristics,and the number of personal pronouns was calculated manually.The results showed that there was a significant difference in the number of personal pronouns between stallings and advancings,stallings use personal pronouns more frequently in language style expressions than advancings.Study 2 compared the differences of negative emotion and social anxiety among stutterers,non-stutterers and different types of stutterers,and explored the relationship between language style,negative emotion and social anxiety among stutterers.This study selected 117 stutterers and 117 non-stutterers in three primary schools in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Shandong Province in grades 1-6 and 117 non-stutterers to conduct a questionnaire survey on "the Chinese Version of Children's Positive and Negative Affect Scale(PANAS-C)" and "Social anxiety Scale for Children(SASC)" questionnaire survey,and a total of 468 valid questionnaires were received.The results showed that there were significant difference in negative emotion and social anxiety between the stuttering group and the non-stuttering group,the stuttering group have higher negative emotion and social anxiety than the non-stuttering group;the difference in negative emotion and social anxiety between stallings and advancings were not significant.There was a significant positive correlation between negative emotion and social anxiety among stutterers.There was no significant correlation between language style(personal pronoun)and negative emotion.There was no significant correlation between language style(personal pronoun)and social anxiety.The research conclusion:Stallings use personal pronouns more frequently in the expression of language style than advancings.Stutterers have higher levels of negative emotion and social anxiety than non-stutterers.On this basis,this research can provide suggestions for strengthening speech training,regulating and controlling emotion,and paying attention to the social situation of stutterers for coping with the language style expression,negative emotion and social anxiety of stutterers.
