Harmony Methods And Applications In Liu Wenjin's Erhu Works

With the progress of society,people pay more and more attention to national musical instruments.Erhu is becoming more and more professional and formal.From a Bing to Liu Tianhua and then to Liu Wenjin,excellent composers have created many erhu works.Erhu works have developed rapidly since the 20 th century.They have experienced the times of start-up,prosperity and new exploration,even today,there is still a great deal of remarkable works coming into being.Among them,Liu Wenjin,as the creator,has made outstanding contributions to the development of national instrumental music,especially the development of erhu works after the founding of the People's Republic of China.Most of Liu Wenjin's works are national instrumental music,including folk solo,national orchestral,national orchestral Concerto,etc.Among them,there are six erhu works,which are divided into three creative periods.This article will take Liu Wenjin's six erhu works in different periods as an example from the aspects of chord material,mode and harmony progress to analyze the harmonic means and application of his creation.
