This paper selects two works of Brahms in his mature period of creation, the night of May and the nocturne in vain,as the research objects.Combined with the music analysis and personal singing experience of the songs, this paper focuses on the singing process.Combining Brahms' life and the background of the times, this paper analyzes the musical techniques of the two art songs.Combined with my own singing experience and learning experience, this paper elaborates on three aspects: the treatment of singing techniques, the cooperation between singing and accompaniment, and the shaping and performance of image. In the aspect of singing techniques, the paper analyzes the accuracy of language and pronunciation, the control of breath and timbre, the change of speed and strength, and the expression of poetic mood and emotion. This paper attempts to elaborate how to interpret Brahms' music style more accurately when singing these two art songs.I hope that through the research of this paper,it can provide reference and help for future vocal music learners in singing these two works.
