Johannes Brahms(1833—1897)is a music master with rich compositions in the development of Western music.This ’the last composer of German classicism ’ has a lot of artistic personality.He lived in the middle and late romantic era.While adapting to the trend of the romantic era,he extremely advocated classicality and rationality.Classicalism and romanticism blended in Brahms’s music and art creation.After Schubert and Schumann,Brahms pushed German and Austrian art songs to another peak.His art song creation is noticeable in the garden of German and Austrian art songs and cannot be ignored.Based on the author ’s own singing practice and learning experience,this paper focuses on the analysis of Brahms’s three mature art songs:’Wir wandelten ’,’ Wie melodien zieht es mir’ and ’Immer leiser wird mein Schlummer’.These three songs are all from the late period of Brahms’s creative career.They can comprehensively reflect the style of Brahms’s art songs in this period in terms of aesthetic orientation,creative techniques and musical style.In addition to the introduction,the text of this paper is divided into three parts:The first chapter describes the development of German and Austrian art songs in the period of Brahms,introduces the three periods of Brahms ’s art song creation,and points out the style characteristics of his art song creation;the second chapter mainly analyzes the lyrics and music structure of three songs such as ’ Wir wandelten ’,in order to deeply explore the charm of the songs;the third chapter focuses on the stage performance of three songs such as ’ Wir wandelten’,and analyzes the three aspects of the song’s lyrics pronunciation,singing emotional expression and the mutual cooperation between singing and piano,showing the challenge of controlling these three songs.
