A Study Of My Country's Film Censorship System

Film censorship plays a very important role in film distribution.However,the current film censorship system still has problems such as excessive intervention by the censorship subject,lack of subject obligation,imperfect censorship procedures,imperfect relief procedures,and unreasonable censorship standards.These problems have become obstacles on the development of my country's film industry.The problems in my country's film censorship system are mainly caused by the following reasons: the relevant legislation lacks scientificity and clarity,the authority of the censorship is unreasonable,and the relief procedures lack effective supervision.From the perspective of the development of the film censorship system in my country,it is unrealistic for the film censorship system to completely get rid of government intervention in our country,so the author believes that the administrative power should be exercised on the basis of respecting the law of industry development.In response to the above-mentioned problems in my country's film censorship system,the author has found useful experience in film management in other countries and regions: improve relevant laws and regulations,strengthen the scientific and clear censorship standards,strengthen the supervision of film censorship entities,guarantee the rationality of the review subject in accordance with the law,optimize film review procedures,and improve related administrative relief procedures.In addition to the introduction,this article including the following four chapters:The first chapter is mainly an overview of my country's film censorship system,including the basic concepts of film censorship,the development history of my country's film censorship system,and its practical significance in terms of public order and good customs and freedom of expression.The second chapter mainly discusses the current situation of China's film censorship system from the current legal basis,subject,main procedure and two different censorship modes of my country's film censorship.The third chapter is about the problems in the legislation,law enforcement and judicial aspects of my country's film censorship system,and analyzes the causes of these problems.The fourth chapter puts forward reasonable suggestions for improvement from various aspects such as establishing effective legal principles,strengthening the scientific clarity of censorship standards,and perfecting film censorship procedures and relief procedures.
