Black-and-white woodcut printmaking in developing because of its material selection of single,mark "rigid",tonal simplification has certain limitations,such as different from other art forms material selection of universality,the diversity of the technique application,even prints in "from" printing after using crossover application,etc.So the nature of its development is based on the regression to the material itself,namely: the characteristics of material and technique of the same variety expression,the maximum respect the natural property of material,the technology also formed the print itself unique mental properties.How can both maintain and comply with the nature of the black-and-white woodcut,bring new woodcut language and break the limitations and the creation of more emotional expression.Based on the thinking of this problem,this paper tries to find a new "elements" to change the situation.Through concrete material repeated practice and related theory research.This topic research,mainly "sign" for the opening lead,from the main elements of generation of black and white woodcut creation language: 1,as an important media application of plank trace their primitiveness;2,the introduction of new elements "ink" as a control condition of accidental;3,print imaging trace mark of the soul itself.These creative elements on the same page form different from the traditional form and transformation,make prints on the basis of not out of the purity of black and white woodcut expand its greater development potential,so that new artistic aesthetic value are derived from the print art.
