Vocational education in Germany is world-renowned for its high-quality education and training system.Therefore,learning more about the features and policy implement of German vocational education will offer important reference and promotion for domestic vocational education.The report focuses on characteristics of how to translate the text of vocational education.Choosing Chapter three “Getting into Vocational Education and Training in Germany” and Chapter four “Support During Vocational Education and Training in Germany” in the OECD Reviews of Vocational Education and Training Unlocking the Potential of Migrants in Germany,which published by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD).This report follows the guidance of applied translation theory.As informative text,the source text is content-oriented,concise and rigorous.Considering the genre and characteristics of source text,the translator interprets the words through linguistic context,situational context and cultural context.The word order was arranged according to language pattern,logic sequence and information focus.The sentence structure of target text was decided by formal correspondence,narrative subjectivity and connection type.The aim of translation practice report is to give reference to the translation activity of related topic.
