Research On Leopold's Land Ethics From The Perspective Of Natural History

Aldo Leopold's earth ethics is a rethinking of the relationship between man and nature,which has an important guiding role in solving the current ecological and environmental problems.In previous studies on Leopold,there are many scholars who study his thoughts from the perspective of holism,but most of them have not touched the essence of his thoughts.The research paradigm of natural history is closest to Leopold's thinking on nature.The research of Leopold's earth ethics from the perspective of natural history highlights Leopold's emphasis on moral emotion.Only human love nature from the heart,can finally realize the harmonious coexistence with nature.Therefore,based on the natural history perspective,this paper studies Leopold's earth ethics,mainly from the following three chapters:The first chapter discusses the relevant theories of natural history.Firstly,the connotation and research paradigm of natural history should be clarified.Natural history is different from mathematical science,and it is the exploration of natural things from the perspective of holism.Secondly,it analyzes the development mode of natural history paradigm and discusses the development of natural history paradigm from the analysis of the motivation of natural history research.The research paradigm is different due to the different service objects of natural history,which reflects people's different attitudes towards nature.Chapter two analyzes Leopold's earth ethics against the background of natural history.Firstly,it discusses the origin of his thought,which mainly comes from the inheritance of predecessors' thought and thinking about related issues.Secondly,it analyzes the core of his earth ethics,including expanding the scope of ethics to the earth community,redefining the position of human beings in nature and cultivating people's ecological conscience.Finally,the author discusses the natural features of his earth ethics,that is,transcending the absolute subject,emphasizing the intrinsic valueofintimate knowledge of nature and affirming ecology.The third chapter mainly analyzes the enlightenment of Leopold's earth ethics to the present.First of all,in terms of optimizing the concept of ecological and environmental protection,for individuals,changing lifestyles and getting close to nature should be aimed at perceiving nature.For the country,it is necessary to change the existing education model and promote humanistic education.Secondly,in the construction of the relationship between human and nature,recognize the status of human in nature,and give nature space,so as to maintain the self-renewal ability of the ecosystem.
