Suzuki Daisetsu,a renowned Japanese Zen researcher and thinker,is a world-renowned authority on Zen Buddhism and is also known as the "World Zen Master. In addition to his interpretations and treatises on Buddhist thought, however,he also has considerable insights into traditional Chinese philosophical views. In this paper,we will focus on his book? A Brief History of Early Chinese Philosophy?,and interpret his view of traditional Chinese philosophy from the perspective of this foreign master of thought. This paper is divided into four main parts. The first part of the paper briefly introduces the life and academic experience of Suzuki Daisetsu, describing his family background and academic experience and briefly categorizing his important academic achievements. In the second part, the overall view of traditional Chinese philosophy is explained in two parts: dualism and monism, and positivism and transcendentalism,in an attempt to analyze and clarify Suzuki's understanding of traditional Chinese philosophical views. The third part briefly elaborates on Suzuki's traditional Chinese philosophical ethical view, using Confucianism,Taoism, and Mohism as ideological divisions. The fourth part briefly analyzes the relationship and origin of Suzuki Daisetsu's Zen studies with traditional Chinese philosophical studies. The purpose of this paper is to explore the possibility of confronting traditional Chinese philosophical views of Suzuki Daisetsu, which can lead to a more comprehensive understanding of Suzuki Daisetsu's Chinese philosophical studies and the full picture of traditional Chinese philosophy in the mind of this world-renowned master,as well as help us to reflect more objectively on the methodological and cultural views of traditional Chinese philosophy. The development of traditional Chinese philosophy has not come out of nowhere, but is the result of the accumulation of a deep historical and cultural background and the wisdom of the pragmatic Chinese people who have practiced and struggled hard for thousands of years. It is the foundation for the national culture to establish a self-confident and self-improving attitude, and it is also the stepping stone for the national culture to progress.
