Suzuki Method, the famous music pedagogy in the world, is known as one of the four major music pedagogies, with the Orff approach, Kodaly teaching and Dalcroze teaching method. Suzuki violin teaching method, the essence of the Suzuki Method, was founded by Mr. Suzuki and has made an important contribution for the violin education.This article is divided into five parts, the specific contents as follows:The first chapter briefly introduces the life of Mr. Suzuki, the background of Suzuki Method, and the teaching ideas and education philosophy of the Suzuki Method to learn more about the Suzuki Method.Chapter two, the focus of this article, did research on Suzuki Violin pedagogy and tutorials. The main characteristics are discussed in the first part, Suzuki violin teaching method, including the requirements for the children and parents and the learning preparation, teaching contents, teaching style, score reading and musical performance and the necessity for periodic concerts. The second part, Suzuki violin tutorial focuses on the track and pronunciation training.Chapter three mainly talked about the comparison between Suzuki Method and other teaching methods. As the world's leading teaching, it is helpful to understand comprehensively the Suzuki Method to compare and contrast the common differences between Suzuki Method and other three methods.Chapter four is an overview of Suzuki Method at home and abroad. Firstly, it provides the development of Suzuki violin teaching method in many countries. According to all kinds of information, we can see that Suzuki violin teaching method developed in Japan very well, but far less effective in Japanese in other countries, although it showed a very high enthusiasm after adopting the Suzuki Method of teaching at the beginning. Therefore, only to find its causes can better develop this approach; secondly, according to the evaluation of Stern, Lin Yaoji, Yehudi Menuhin et al, research position and situation of Suzuki violin teaching can be seen in the violinist, this approach can be more accurate understood.The conclusion is to summary and to generalize the content and point out the direction for future work and study, with innovation and inadequacy given out. Because of our limited competence and the information available, this article only conducted a preliminary study of the Suzuki violin teaching method. Adapting it into China's national conditions and localizing it clearly is our future task.
