The application and significance of"repetition" in dance creation Abstract:Repetition is the most common form of dance expression and the basic elements for construction of dance meaning.From perspective of formation,repetition in dance is merely the reproduction of body movements,music,and formations.From perspective of dance meaning,repetition is a philosophical concept that repeats itself,like the cycle of life and the change of seasons.It can be seen that the so-called repetition in the dance text is actually not a pure single repetition,but represents the change of meaning and the strengthening of the connotation.Therefore,based on the basic form and meaning of dance repetition,this article will analyze the repetition in dance from three perspectives,including the basic classification,practical application and meaning of dance repetition,so as to explore the formation and special implications of repetition in dance texts.
