A Study On The Acquisition Of Supplementary Language For English And Korean Native Chinese Learners

Abstract/Summary:
The degree complement is one of the special grammatical structures in Chinese.Based on linguistic typology and second language acquisition theories,this paper compares the acquisition of degree complements by Chinese learners whose native language background is English and Korean.Based on ontology research,refer to native speakers and Chinese learners use of 10 degree complements,and based on the modern Chinese and interlanguage corpus,we found that two types of Chinese learners overuse "duo","hen" and "budeliao",and avoid the use of "huang","tou".The error types of the two types of Chinese learners are basically the same,but the error of omission of auxiliary words is more obvious for English native learners,while the error of adding auxiliary words and misordering is more obvious for Korean native learners.Then we have carried on the questionnaire survey to 30 Chinese learners whose native language background is English and 36 Chinese learners whose native language background is Korean,respectively from the degree of the syntax,semantics and pragmatics angle of complement the targeted inspection,found that in the process of acquisition,the mother tongue type will have a certain influence on the acquisition of degree complement and related sentence patterns,but with the deepening of second language learning,the interlanguage of Chinese learners will be closer to the Chinese rules,and the influence of the mother tongue type will be insignificant.Different background of mother tongue has no significant influence on the order of subjective and objective acquisition.The most easily acquired degree complements are "duo","hen","ji" and "si",the easier ones are "budeliao","lihai" and "buxing",and the least easy ones are "huai","tou" and "huang".Based on the analysis of corpus and survey results,we believe that the negative transfer of the mother tongue,the transfer of the target language,and the complexity of the semantic and pragmatic conditions of the degree complement lead to the occurrence of the degree complement errors of Chinese learners.Finally,we put forward the degree of the second language teaching Suggestions of complement,such as the inter-lingual comparison teaching,reasonable arrangement of teaching order,the creation of language environment to help Chinese learners internalization degree of the pragmatic rules of complement,etc.,in order to be different background learners of Chinese language teaching complement work and a little reference for the relevant textbook.
