Hazard perception ability of drivers refers to the ability to identify and respond to potential hazards in traffic situations, which has an important impact on driving safety.Facing the increasingly complicated traffic environment,it is necessary to explore the methods to improve the drivers' hazard perception ability. This study used measurement and experiment methods to investigate the effects and characteristics of the existing risk perception training model and the influence of subjects' emotions. The research is divided into two parts: Study 1 refers to the process and principles of compiling Standardized Hazard Perception Test(HPT)by Wetton et al.(2010),and compels a set of Hazard Perception Test with field driving videos as the material to provide tools for subsequent studies. The test included 30 items in 4scenarios(road hazards, vehicle hazards, visual blind areas, and special road conditions). The response mode was mouse clicking, and the quantitative indicators were hit rate and time shift. The validity of the test was evaluated by empirical validity. In Study 2,the trainability of hazard perception was explored through experiments. The effects and characteristics of the three training modes were investigated, and how the training effect was affected by subjects' emotions was explored. The experiment used a 4(training mode: expert comment training, navigation perspective training, anticipation training,no training)×2(subject emotional state: anger, calm)intergroup design. The dependent variables were the increase of the target's hit ratio(post-test hit ratio-pre-test hit ratio)and the decrease of the time shift(pre-test time shift-post-test time shift). The results showed:(1)The test performance of the expert group(long driving years, high driving frequency)was significantly better than that of the novice group(short driving years, low driving frequency). There were differences in the performance of the four scenarios. The best performance was in the special traffic conditions, and the worst performance was in the visual blind areas.(2)After receiving the training intervention, the test performance of the subjects was significantly improved;(3)Anger could inhibit the improvement of risk perception ability. The increase of hit rate and decrease of time shift in the anger group were significantly lower than that in the calm group.(4)The effect of training is different under two emotional conditions.Under calm emotion, navigation perspective training had the best effect.Under anger emotion, there was no significant difference between the three training modes. The training effect of navigation perspective is different between the two emotions.Conclusions:(1)The self-compiled Hazard Perception Test has certain validity, which can distinguish the expert group from the novice group, and can be used for follow-up research;(2)Hazard perception ability of drivers is trainable to a certain extent.Appropriate training intervention can improve the accuracy and timeliness of drivers' identification of hazard sources;(3)The effect of hazard perception training was inhibited by anger;(4)All the three training modes can improve the risk perception ability of the subjects. But the training effect will be affected by the emotions of the subjects.Specifically, although the navigation perspective training has the best overall effect,it is more likely to be inhibited by the subject's anger, while the expert comment effect has a good cross-emotion consistency.
