Research On The Construction Of National Image In Domestic Theme Movies (2012-2019)

As an important medium to reflect the history and reality of China and to promote Chinese culture and spirit,"Main Melody" films try their best to restore or imitate the real situation and export their national ideology by using artistic sounds and pictures,thus assuming a certain function of national image construction.With the development and change of the era,the national image constructed by "Main Melody" films and its construction methods are changing.Then,what kind of audio-visual image selection,narrative mode and theme expression do "Main Melody" films construct the image of China? Since the new century,what kind of national image has the "Main Melody" films presented? What are the strategic characteristics in the process of construction and what are the deficiencies and future trends exposed? In order to explore the above issues,this paper,based on the concept and connotation of the theme,selects some Huabiao Award winning films and the2019 National Day Tributes Trilogy as film samples,and conducts statistical analysis on the image of China presented in "Main Melody" films.First chapter in this paper,using the framework of three analytic hierarchy process and the content analysis method,from the high,medium and low three layers of meaning in-depth analysis,to build China's image theme movie audio-visual language and narrative methods,construction of theme movie image behind the Chinese values of ethics and ideology reflected in deconstruction,explore the main melody movies construct the whole framework of China's image.The second chapter of main melody movies to present the image of China in the two periods,six dimensions separately to understand,found that the main melody movie overall presented in the "old" beaten in the pursuit of progress in China and the rise of "new" China,concrete and presents a predominantly positive changing national,political,economic,social,diplomatic,cultural image.The third chapter explores the characteristics of the theme as a particular type of film and television works in the construction of China's image and the political,economic and cultural factors behind it.Under the influence of media context,audience demand and film market,the image construction of theme films adopts metaphorization,emulation,fragmentation,entertainment and spectacle presentation.The last chapter of "Main Melody" movies to build China's image existing problems and future development path is discussed,in the face of the plot is similar with the image of the fault,the quality of image identity of weak and lack of image transmission force during the period of transition,the "Main Melody" movies need to expand the scope of materials,integrated marketing and innovative technology,narrative,performance and so on expression method to enhance their national image construction.
