Research On Subway Public Cultural Space From The Perspective Of Scene Theory

With the development of the city and the construction of the subway network,the subway has an unparalleled important role in urban life.The role it plays is not limited to the traditional means of transportation,because it covers a wide range of transportation functions.The multi-level subway space industry has become a material space entity with certain temporal and spatial attributes and cultural carrying characteristics,and is a new type of public cultural space for social activities,cultural introduction and dissemination.On the other hand,the subway itself carries the functions of transportation.It must meet the requirements and norms of subway operation while providing public cultural services.In this sense,it is also a complex public cultural space.From the perspective of culture,the scene theory excavates the driving force for the urban development in the post industrial era.In the study of urban development,it shifts from the analysis of economic factors to the analysis of cultural factors.It forms a post industrial society development model with the establishment of exploration values as the core,the pursuit of cultural power as the feature,and the organic connection between the urban life and entertainment facilities and the public groups.As the scene theory,its main research object is the large area and complex area in the post industrial city,and the subway public space with its characteristics of running through the whole city and having the functions of transportation and cultural services is within the scope of application of the scene theory.At the same time,the unique integrated thinking and quantifiable analysis tools of scene theory also provide unique theoretical and methodological guidance for the study of subway public cultural space.Based on the analysis of five scene elements of scene theory and the scene description method of three main dimensions and 15 sub dimensions,this paper conducts a field survey on five public cultural spaces,including Shanghai Metro people's Square Station,Xujiahui Station,Disney Station,Shaanxi South Road station and Jing'an Temple Station,and finally obtains the scene measurement results of the five spaces according to the questionnaire and interview.Then,through the analysis of the results,we can get the problems and possible reasons in the construction process of Shanghai subway public cultural space,and put forward feasible suggestions,hoping to help the development of subway public culture.
