The suspense movie is based on the tone of the suspense,and it pays more attention to breaking the stereotype than the general type of movie in terms of artistic production and viewing mode.This paper systematically sorts out the current research status of suspense films,traces the origins of suspense films at home and abroad,and defines the scope of the research,and points out that the characteristics of suspense films with unique narrative orientation are important factors for injecting fresh content and space.Then,on this basis,two aspects of suspense films are discussed:one is to focus on the important element of dream in the aesthetic characteristics of suspense films,and from the perspective of psychoanalysis,the deep expression of dreams and the two dimensions of narrative are combined to investigate How do suspense movies use the concept and formation mechanism of dreams to construct more exciting suspense stories;the second is to discuss the aesthetic commonality of audiences in suspense movies,and with the help of cognitive construction theory,how to make audiences recognize the dream narrative in suspense movies.Research on the construction of knowledge and explore the setting method of the core "suspense".Finally,the creation of the short film "Nth Floor" verifies and practices the narrative theory and audience cognition theory of dream elements in suspense movies,and summarizes the practical experience and creative reflection on the presentation of dream narrative and cognitive construction in suspense movies.
