The ? Poem ? by the Modernist American Composer Charles T.Griffith was completed in 1919.It is one of the few pieces of modern music written for flutes.The music is ethereal,billowy and capricious.This article takes the analysis of this piece as the main content,unifies the author own performance experience and the understanding,this paper interprets the musical style and performance characteristics of the tone poem from the aspects of its creative background,edition dispute,musical form,harmony,technical problems and musical treatment.It is hoped that the flute learners can grasp the music style of modern times more accurately and deepen their understanding of the work.
