In the early stage of the later period of Tibetan Buddhism,the Ngari,as the source of the development of Buddhism,once occupied a leading position in the development of Tibetan religious culture.For a long time afterwards,the development of Buddhism culture in Ngari has been prosperous.The research object of this article is the Byams pa Lhakhang at the Byang rtse gna' shul,located in the administrative area not far from the Guge Kingdom.It is the relics of early d Ge lugs murals in the Ngari.There are 13 panels of the murals remains,and its artistic style highlights the strong Guge-style characteristics.It is a case that we understand in the Ngari under the trend of Buddhist art reform and integration,which has not been discussed in the academic circles.Through it,we can provide a new example of the Guge-style of Buddhism in the Ngari.This article takes the mural paintings of the Byams pa Lhakhang as the research object,and relies on the first-hand data of the field investigation in the Byams pa Lhakhang and the changes in the history,culture,religious background and Buddhist art styles of the Ngari and the Guge Kingdom,and the content of the murals,Time and artistic style for analysis and research.Through combing the history of d Ge lugs pa spreading in Ngari,the temporal and spatial distribution of monasteries and the investigation data of the mural paintings of the Byams pa Lhakhang,the full text clarifies that the Byams pa Lhakhang at the Byang rtse gna' shul is closely related to the d Ge lugs pa;The content and artistic style of the existing murals in the inner hall of the temple are the starting point.A more detailed iconological study of the murals in the inner hall of the Byams pa Lhakhang is carried out,and the spatial distribution and religious meanings of the murals in the inner hall of the Byams pa Lhakhang are preliminarily interpreted;on this basis analyzes and interprets the artistic style of the inner hall of Byams pa Lhakhang murals from the aspects of color,layout and line modeling,and simply reveals the Guge artistic style characteristics revealed in the Byams pa Lhakhang's inner temple murals.
