A Study On The Evolution Of The Relationship Between Ge-lugs-pa Sect And Khoshut Mongolia

From the end of the 16 th century to the beginning of the 18 th century is a complex period of Tibetan history.The local political situation in Tibet is changing rapidly,furthermore the the new religious sects and the traditional sects are in confrontation.The d Ge-lugs-pa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism was suppressed by the Tibetan Tsangpa Khan regime and other anti d Ge-lugs-pa forces who support the karma-bkav-brgyud-pa Sect.In such a situation,the upper leaders and eminent monks of the d Ge-lugs-pa Sect have carefully discussed how to solve the problem they have met.They finally reached a consensus and decided to ask for help from Oirat Mongolia.Four tribes of Oirat are in the violent competition for scarce grazing.In order to get rid of the predicament and seek new pasture.Gushiri Khan lead his tribe to move to Qinghai Lake to find another way out.After that,he Khoshut Mongolia led troops to Tibet in response to the help of the d Ge-lugs-pa Sect.And established a 75 year long Mongolian Tibetan joint regime.From the view of history,this paper uses the methods of document study and comparative analysis,and it focuses on the evolution of the relationship between Khoshut Mongolia and the d Ge-lugs-pa Sect in the framework of the United regime,and analyzes some factors that affect the relationship between Khoshut and the d Ge-lugs-pa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism from friendship to opposition.This paper includes two parts: introduction and body text.The introduction part mainly introduces the academic research on the relationship between the d Ge-lugs-pa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and Khoshut Mongolia,the purpose of the topic and the research methods,as well as its innovation and shortcomings.The body text consists of three chapters: the first chapter focuses on the spread d Ge-lugs-pa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism in Mongolia before and after the establishment of d Gav-ldan-pho-brang Regime.The second chapter focuses on the evolution of the relationship between the d Ge-lugs-pa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and HKhoshut Mongolia within the framework of the United regime.The third chapter will analyze the influencing factors of the friendship between d Ge-lugs-pa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and Khoshut Mongolia from the beginning to the hostility later.Finally,the conclusion briefly summarizes the evolution process and influencing factors of the relationship between d Ge-lugs-pa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and Khoshut Mongolia.It also points out that the withdrawal of Khoshut Mongolia from the historical stage of Tibet is only the end of the relationship of political subordination or political interest,but its religious relationship still exists.
