Analysis Of The Trump Administration's Afghan Policy

Since the outbreak of the war in Afghanistan in 2001,the U.S.post-war reconstruction policy towards Afghanistan has undergone 20 years of development and evolution.At present,although some achievements have been made in national reconstruction in Afghanistan,the security situation is deteriorating day by day.The US reconstruction policy in Afghanistan is faced with problems such as stagnant political reconciliation,sluggish economic development and difficulties in policy implementation.The existence of these problems greatly reduces the implementation effect of the policy.This study is divided into the following chapters: the first chapter is the analysis of the evolution of the U.S.policy towards Afghanistan(2001-2016),respectively from the Bush administration and the Obama administration's policy towards Afghanistan;the second chapter is the background of the trump administration's Afghanistan policy,which first analyzes the background of the adjustment of the U.S.global strategy,and then analyzes the restrictive factors in the United States,including Trump's policy The third chapter is the analysis of the trump administration's policy towards Afghanistan,which mainly analyzes the trump administration's new Afghanistan and South Asia strategy,and the trump administration's policy towards Afghanistan under the background of India Pacific strategy The fourth chapter is the dilemma of the trump administration's policy implementation in Afghanistan,including the tortuous changes of US Afghan relations,the challenging cooperation between the United States and Pakistan,the deep-rooted contradictions between the two countries,and the intensified game among regional countries;the fifth chapter is the long-term impact of the trump administration's policy on Afghanistan and China's coping strategies,which first points out the security situation in Afghanistan Then it analyzes the strategies China should adopt,including actively building the friendship between China and Afghanistan,strengthening the coordination of reconstruction policies with the United States,actively participating in the reconstruction of Afghanistan,promoting the early stability of the situation,and using the SCO to strengthen border anti drug inspection and crack down on drug smuggling.The last part is the conclusion,which mainly summarizes the views of this paper,points out the shortcomings of this study,and prospects the future research direction.
