Former US President Donald Trump officially launched the US Trade War with China in July 2018,which is the largest trade war in human trade history so far.As the two largest economies in the world, the conflict between China and the United States has a direct impact on the international political situation and has a far-reaching effect on the two countries and even the world pattern. The Structural Violence theory and multi-data comparative analysis can be used to sort out the political logic behind the trade war and the difficulties faced by the United States,so as to provide another research perspective for the analysis of the trade war between China and the United States, and provide new thinking for China to take countermeasures and promote the sound development of China-US relations.Shortly after taking office,Trump launched the Trade War with China using legal strategies, government documents and personal remarks.Clearly, the Trump administration has both domestic and international political logic in launching a trade war with China. The external political logic is manifested by the argument that China is a "threat" and trade relation is unbalanced. In fact,it is the Structural Violence within China and the international community that leads to the trade war and calls for the redistribution of political power. In the internal political logic, the expansion of the power authorized to the president by the Constitution and the support of the Republican Party for Trump’s decisions provide the possibility for the launch of the Trade War.At the same time, the choice of "White blue-collar" voters in the traditional manufacturing industry is the necessity and motivation for the “war”.By comparing industrial data and regional votes,we can see that while the Trade War policy has partially achieved domestic political goals,it has failed to fully tap the potential of swing states to make Trump successfully win the American presidential Election again. From Structural Violence perspective,we can analyze the difficulties faced by the United States because of the Trade War.Conflicts are generated among Congress, interest groups and enterprise representatives from different industries.Public opinion and the mass media reflect that unemployment rises and the Trade War exacerbates social inequality.Researches by experts and scholars suggest that America’s cherished democracy is losing credibility.Extreme policies need to get changed and adjusted.Biden’s new administration has inherited Trump’s Trade War goals and wrapped the substance of its tough policies with a facade of tolerance.China should not only consolidate its own material foundation and solve domestic problems of Structural Violence, but also maintain a positive and open attitude towards the international community. Moreover, the country needs to "treat different regions in different ways" in the United States on the basis of the Trade War’s internal logic, and strive to turn the crisis into an opportunity.
