| The UK is one of the world's largest donors and the only G7 member country that has achieved official development assistance accounting for more than 0.7% of its gross national income.In the distribution of British foreign aid in various sectors,education aid occupies a more significant proportion,reflecting the guidelines that the British foreign aid adheres to promote recipient countries' capacity building.Pakistan has been the biggest recipient in recent years.Among the British aid to Pakistan,Education aid is the biggest sector in budget aspect.However,Traditional aid areas often focus on promoting recipient countries' economic development and often concentrate on project investment in infrastructure and production.In contrast,education aid is not currently the main field of foreign aid.So,the core topic of this article is: why is education aid a key area of British foreign aid to Pakistan? This article focuses on case study and has a new understanding of the British educational aid through the analysis of typical cases and divergent thinking.From the perspective of aid motivation,British educational aid motives include economic,security,humanitarian,and other motives.The direct impact of educational aid in the UK is to promote the improvement of literacy,the improvement of literacy promotes the increase of social employment rate and economic development;these factors reduce the problem of undeveloped countries.Educational aid has achieved the UK's educational aid goals through direct and indirect influence.The motivation of British educational aid explains to a certain extent the reasons why the UK attaches importance to educational aid.Educational aid can also achieve the strategic goals of the UK.Besides,in the educational aid process,the UK insists on not attaching conditions,attaches importance to the principles of cooperation with local departments,and high transparency.These principles promote the effective role of British educational aid in receiving countries. |
