Since China entered the stage of population aging in 2000,the process of population aging has developed rapidly. At present,China has become the country with the largest number of elderly population in the world, and also one of the countries with the fastest population aging in the world.Compared with developed countries,China's population aging has the unique characteristics of unbalanced urban and rural development, aging before getting rich, aging before getting ready, aging before urbanization and so on,so the aging situation is more severe. With the acceleration of China's population aging process, the proportion of the elderly population is increasing, while the proportion of the middle-aged population is decreasing. Will this make the cost of enterprises rise due to the reduction of the number of labor, and then force the process of automation to accelerate. In this regard, based on the current situation of China's aging, automation and social-economic development, this paper combines theoretical model with empirical analysis to study the forced effect of population aging on China's automation technology,in order to provide valuable basis and reference for future aging policy-making and automation technology promotion. This paper includes the following aspects. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the research background, significance, research framework and innovation of the paper.Secondly,it reviews the existing literature on the relationship between population aging and machine automation at home and abroad, and makes it clear that there is a time lag in the role of population aging on automation technology.Thirdly,it analyzes the development status and problems of China's population aging and machine automation This paper makes a systematic analysis of its characteristics, constructs a mathematical model to study the mechanism of population aging on machine automation;finally,an empirical study, using the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2000 to 2019,examines the specific effect of China's population aging on the level of automation, and tests the lag of China's population aging on automation technology Policy recommendations. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: the aging population will promote the development of automation by changing the labor supply market and improving the level of human capital education;the impact of China's aging population on automation technology has obvious lag, which originates from the labor supply side.Enterprises realize that the aging population will directly affect their own development and take positive actions On the other hand, from the perspective of human capital accumulation, the aging of population makes life expectancy increase and the expected income of education increase, which promotes the improvement of the level of education.People are aware of the impact of the aging of population, and will learn more technology, and the short-term technology promotion will promote the rise of wages,"Force" enterprises to use machines for production and improve the level of automation.
