Since diplomatic activities came into being, alliance diplomacy is one of the basic contents of traditional diplomacy. It is not only an important means for a country to safeguard its own security and interests, but also an ancient diplomatic activity with a long history.Up to now, alliance diplomacy is still a common diplomatic phenomenon on the international stage and plays an important role in the field of foreign policy-making.It is obviously not enough to scientifically evaluate whether a particular alliance diplomatic decision is successful or to explore the necessary conditions for a successful alliance diplomacy. It should also be fully combined with the analysis and interpretation of the historical practice of alliance diplomacy.Historically, numerous classic cases of alliance diplomacy have been left in the history of international relations for thousands of years, which provides a rich case reference for future studies of alliance diplomacy. As an ancient civilization with thousands of years of civilization history,China is no exception. In the long history, the Chinese nation has also accumulated quite rich experience in alliance diplomacy, among which there are many classic cases of alliance diplomacy, which makes it possible to study the decision-making of alliance diplomacy in ancient China.Using the discourse system of international political theory to study and analyze the alliance diplomatic decision-making of ancient China not only has academic value at the disciplinary level, but also has practical significance of "learning from history" to provide reference for today's diplomatic decision-making.Up to now, most of the researches on the alliance diplomatic decisionmaking of ancient China are based on the theoretical paradigm of power balance, geopolitics, civilization conflict and other macro levels, trying to explore the logic and motivation behind the alliance diplomatic decision-making of ancient China. This,to a certain extent, has affected the deep understanding of the causes and process of the formation of the alliance diplomatic decisionmaking of ancient China. In fact, combined with the historical background, due to the specific political and cultural environment in ancient China, compared with the contemporary, the personal factors of the leaders at that time played a more prominent role in the diplomatic decision-making,and even played a key decisive role. Therefore,it is necessary to study the alliance diplomatic decisionmaking of ancient China, focusing on the highest decision-maker at that time. Therefore,it is an innovative and logical thinking to change the research perspective to the perception and thought of the top decision-maker.This paper selects the Song Dynasty China's decision of "uniting Jin to destroy Liao" as the object of research and analysis, and tries to study "uniting Jin to destroy Liao" from the micro perspective, which is a typical example of China's ancient alliance diplomatic decision-making.With the help of the cognitive theory of international political psychology, this paper analyzes why song Huizong, the highest decision-maker at that time, made the decision of "uniting Jin to destroy Liao",which is obviously not conducive to the Song Dynasty A decision towards self security.Through the study of "uniting the Jin Dynasty to destroy the Liao Dynasty",we can see the role of cognitive factors in the process of alliance diplomatic decision-making of ancient China to a certain extent, and play the role of " one falling leaf is indicative of the coming of autumn".The academic significance of this paper also lies in this.It is also one of the goals of this paper to make some small development for the theory and ideas of the alliance diplomatic decision-making of ancient China.
