High school students are faced with an important choice of life development.Whether they can reasonably plan their life and determine their career orientation will directly affect their future development and life happiness.Therefore,it is necessary to develop career education in senior high school.Career education in China at the exploration stage for a long time.It lacks awareness of the importance of importance of career education,and does not paid enough attention to career development courses and students' ability training.High school students are relatively confused in their choices.They lack a good self-cognition,and it is difficult for them to form an attitude and ability to independently determine their own development.They cannot coordinate their potential with their future development.This not only directly affects the future development of individual students,but also affects the effective cultivation of national labor force.In order to promote the career development of Chinese high school students,it is necessary for us to pay attention to the specific practice of career education in developed countries,think about and draw on their successful experience.The United States is a country with an early start in career education.In 1971,the Marland plan was formulated,and a systematic career education implementation system was established from the federal government to the states,and it was continuously reflected and improved in practice.Therefore,this paper focuses on the career education in American high schools and tries to carry out a systematic study on the implementation of career education in American high schools by adopting the methods of literature analysis and case study.Chapter one,introduction.This chapter discusses the reasons and research significance of American high school career education.It sorts out and analyzes related research at home and abroad from different dimensions.By defining the core concepts of career education,this paper defines the research ideas and methods of American high school career education,and provides an analytical framework for follow-up research.Chapter two,firstly,it summarizes the three periods of American high school career education:from the early 1970s to the late 1970s,with the rise of career education movement,high school career education gradually started;From the late 1970s to the late 1980s,career education entered a period of silence,and the development speed of high school career education slowed down.Since the 1990s,high school career education has entered the track of rapid development.Through the in-depth exploration of the development of American career education,the evolution law of American high school career education is presented.Based on the historical analysis of career education,a comprehensive research has been conducted on the implementation system of career education in the United States,including the laws and policies of career education,the subjects and modes of implementation,the goals and specific goals of career education,etc.In chapter 3,in order to clearly present the career education in American high schools,this chapter focuses on the case study of Florida.This paper discusses the design goal,implementation institution,implementation method,curriculum and safeguard measures of Florida high school career education.First of all,from the state and school level,the general goal of career development and the specific goal of high school students' career development are analyzed.Secondly,the paper analyzes the specific implementing institution of high school career education in Florida.Then,it introduces the implementation methods of school curriculum and school-enterprise cooperation practice.Thirdly,it focuses on the school curriculum and expounds the detailed objectives,curriculum contents and teaching methods of Florida high school curriculum.Finally,the guarantee measures of Florida high school career education practice are introduced,that is,Florida professional organizations,network resources and reference materials.Chapter four summarizes the characteristics of American high school career education practice.The national and state governments provide strong support through legislation,the career development association actively helps,the development goal is specific,the career education system is coherent,the curriculum standard is operable,the teaching pattern is diversified.This study argues that the American high school career education practice has a positive impact.Of course,the development of career education in the United States is also fraught with difficulties,such as the shortage of funds for career education,the obvious shortage of teacher resources and the difficulty in qualitative evaluation.Studying American high school career education practices,learning from its practical experience and proposing China's development strategy.Fully publicizing the concept of career education and improving the status of career education;establishing national and provincial career education management systems,developing operable and diverse career education courses,and actively exploring effective tripartite collaboration mechanism between school society and families.
