This paper selected a group study on intervention of the International students in Guangzhou group,taking Guangzhou Higher education Mega center International students in G university for example,analyzing all sorts of maladjustment they are suffering,and offering targeted intervention.Guided by Cross-Cultural Theory,the study carries out group work and intervenes from three aspects:psychology,intercourse,and in social culture.It aims to help students relax,strengthen social interaction,take in Guangzhou culture,enhance skills of Cross-Cultural adjustment and get used to campus life as soon as possible.The practice results showed the scores of group members had positive changes in both Self-rating Depression Scale and Social Adaptability Scale to some extent,among which 86% of the group members had improved their social support degree and 86%had improved their depression degree obviously.According to the research,group work has certain effect on the intervention of the campus adaptation group for foreign students in Guangzhou.However,at the same time,due to the differences in cultural background of international students of different nationalities and the two-way effect of campus adaptation,the group has great challenges in organizing and carrying out activities.Therefore,the group should pay more attention to communicate with the group members and encourage them to adapt to the new campus environment.
