With the advancement of the country's rural construction,the education in mountainous areas is also being adjusted,resulting in a large number of boarding schools in mountainous areas.The rise of boarding schools in mountainous areas adapts to the development of the times,conforms to the vital interests of the rural masses,and is an effective way to achieve the goal of new rural education.However,the management of boarding students in mountainous junior high school is an important challenge in the process of reform and development of basic education in mountainous areas.And how to do well in the management of boarding students in mountainous junior high school has become an urgent task for educators.This paper takes L school in Chishui City,Guizhou Province as an example,through the design of "the questionnaire on the management of boarding students in junior high schools in mountainous areas",from the six dimensions of student safety management,life management,learning guidance,after-school activities,mental health,poor student funding to investigate the management status of boarding students in mountainous junior high school,to understand the real ideas of boarding students.Seven teachers,two principals and eight parents of students in L school were randomly selected for interviews to understand the current situation of boarding management in mountainous schools.Through the questionnaire survey and interview,this paper found that taking L school as an example,there are many problems in the management of boarding students in mountainous junior high schools,such as the imperfect safety management facilities and systems,unreasonable management of dormitories and canteens,insufficient attention to boarding students' learning and guidance,insufficient attention to the after-school activities of boarding students,inadequate attention to mental health education of boarding students and funding amount for poor boarding students less.In view of the management of boarding students in L school,this paper putsforward countermeasures for the management of boarding students in junior high schools in mountainous areas,mainly including enriching the forms of safety management of boarding students,scientific and standardized management of students' dormitories and canteens,strengthening boarding students' learning guidance,enriching the after-school activities of boarding students,strengthening boarding students' mental health education and increasing the support for boarding students.This paper explores the management of boarding students in the mountainous area of Chishui City,which can provide some reference for the management of boarding students in other mountainous areas.
