In the process of building a socialism harmonious society,social work has gradually become an important part in the provision of social service and public governance.Social workers are also playing an increasingly prominent role in all fields of social service.However,there is a huge gap between the demand and the supply of social workers.On the other hand,the occupational status of social workers is unsatisfactory,their professional role that helping people in need makes them susceptible to burnout.In addition,the organizational climate of non-profit organization which social workers work for is warm and harmonious.It is worth paying attention to the perceived organizational support of social workers.Based on the Organizational Support Theory and the Conservation of Resources Theory,this research measured the level of perceived organizational support,burnout and turnover intention as well as investigated the effect of perceived organizational support on turnover intention by using data collected from 312 social workers in Chengdu.In the meantime,this research examined the mediating effect of burnout.The conclusion of this research offers some suggestions for non-profit organization to manage their employees better.The conclusions of this research are as follow :(1)overall,social workers have a higher sense of support from the NPO they work for,a higher level of burnout,and a lower turnover intention.(2)perceived organizational support,burnout and turnover intention have significant differences in age,marriage,education,major,years of working and post;(3)perceived organizational support significantly negatively affects burnout and turnover intention,while burnout has a significant positive impact on turnover intention;(4)burnout partially mediates the relationship between perceived organizational support and turnover intention.The main contributions of this research are as follow:(1)to introduce a new theoretical perspective in the study of social workers;(2)enriched the research on Mediatorsocial workers' perceived organizational support and deepened the research on the mechanism of turnover intention;(3)expanded the research objects in the professional research.To a certain extent,this research enriched the knowledge of burnout and perceived organizational support on social workers,as well as provide non-profit organization an appropriate way which can protect social workers from burnout and reduce employees' turnover intention with theoretical basis.
