In today's fast-developing society,the learning environment of students has changed dramatically compared to what it used to be,and the educational philosophy is also continuously deepening reforms.Along with the stage of psychological development of contemporary junior high school students,we find that more and more junior high school students lack the perseverance qualities,encounter difficulties or obstacles in their studies,and often feel weak or even choose to escape.In recent years,a new hot word for perseverance in education has originated in foreign countries.Today,scholars and experts at home and abroad have paid much attention to this new hot word and started research in various fields.Foreign scholars' research in this area mainly explores the advantages of perseverance,and concludes that perseverance is a reliable indicator of success.It analyzes that its accuracy exceeds the five major personality factors and IQ in various fields,and analyzes different levels of perseverance.The relationship between efficiency,workload and self-efficacy.Domestic research in this field mainly studies the relationship between perseverance and academic achievement,and most of them are analysis and investigation on demographic factors and general personality characteristics.So far,few people have conducted research on perseverance and academic performance in the field of mathematics education.Therefore,this article mainly discusses the research on the scholastic quality of junior high school students in the field of mathematics,and analyzes and discusses the correlation between the scholastic quality of junior high school students and their internal motivation and mathematical performance.After reviewing relevant literature and analyzing,determine the theoretical basis of this article,and use the literature review method,questionnaire method and interview method to conduct research.The measure of perseverance quality is the twelve perseverance scale prepared by Duckwort and others(12-Item Grit Scale),and the three dimensions of internal motivation: cognitive driving force(interest and curiosity in learning mathematics),mathematical self-efficacy,and internal motivation scale compiled by willpower tomeasure students' internal motivation,After passing the test of adaptability to the preparation of test papers and the reliability and validity test,379 junior high school students were investigated in a middle school in Xining.After data collation,the differences of perseverance quality of junior high school students under the dimensions of grade,self-control and creativity were analyzed,and the correlations between perseverance quality,internal motivation and student mathematics performance of junior high school students were further analyzed.Research conclusions of this article:(1)The level of perseverance and internal motivation of junior high school students is at a medium level.The strength of perseverance quality is significantly obvious in the grade dimension,and the specific performance is that the level of perseverance in the first grade is slightly weaker than the recommended level in the third grade;(2)There are significant differences in the dimensions of self-control and creativity among junior high school students.The specific manifestations are: junior high-school students with strong self-control are also strong in perseverance,but the strength of creativity and perseverance is not directly proportional;(3)There is a significant correlation between junior high school students' perseverance,internal motivation for learning,and math performance.Among them,junior high school students 'perseverance and internal motivation are moderately positively related.Junior high school students' perseverance and internal motivation can predict students 'mathematics performance;junior high school students' internal motivation has significant mediating effect between perseverance and mathematics performance.
