Perfectionism is a way of thinking and a stable personality trait that pursues high standards.The motivation for achievement is that people think that their task is about to be completed with high value.They are not only willing to pay all their strengths in completing the task,but also want to regulate their behavior with higher requirements.This study assumes that perfectionism in junior high school influences students'academic performance through achievement motivation.In this study,two junior high school students were selected from Liyang City.The Chinese Frost Multi-Dimensional Perfectionism Questionnaire(CFMPS)and Achievement Motivation Scale(AMS)were distributed to a total of 486 valid questionnaires.Using the data of questionnaire survey,this paper analyzes the characteristics of perfectionism and achievement motivation of junior high school students,and deeply explores the influence of achievement motivation on the relationship between perfectionism and academic achievement of junior high school students,and draws the following conclusions:1.The total score of perfectionism in junior high school students is close to normal distribution,and the negative perfectionism tendency of junior high school students is lower.There is no significant difference in the perfectionism of junior high school students between different genders.There are significant differences in perfectionism between different grades.The first day is significantly larger than the second day,and the second day is significantly larger than the third day.2.The achievement motivation of junior high school students is generally close to normal distribution,and the overall achievement motivation is at a good level.There is no significant difference in achievement motivation between different genders.There are significant differences in the motivations of achievement in different grades.The third grade is significantly larger than the students in the second and first grades.The second grade is significantly larger than the first grade.3.In the achievement motivation,the pursuit of success motivation can positively predict academic performance,and fear that failure motivation can negatively predict academic achievement.The rationality and individual standards in perfectionism are predicting academic performance,and the doubts about action negatively predict academic achievement.4.The pursuit of success has some mediating effects in perfectionism,personal standards,action doubts and academic achievements.Fear of failure has a partial intermediary role in perfectionism,action disbelief dimensions and academic achievement.
