With the advancement of new chemistry courses and the development of science education,it has gradually become the common goal of teachers to cultivate students ’core literacy in chemistry disciplines and improve students’ views on the nature of science.The concept of HPS helps students understand the inherent nature of science from different dimensions,and has a positive effect on the cultivation and development of students’ scientific literacy.Inquiry experimental teaching emphasizes inquiry and practice,which can promote the cultivation and improvement of students’ scientific inquiry ability and problem solving ability.Based on the HPS concept and research-based experimental teaching research,combined with the characteristics of the chemistry discipline,the HPS concept is applied to high school chemistry research-based experimental teaching.Taking the inquiry experiment teaching model as the main body and incorporating the concept of HPS,the inquiry experiment teaching model that is more suitable for the senior high school chemistry classroom has been reconstructed.Based on the theory of constructivism,humanism,and cognitive discovery,a variety of teaching strategies are proposed.According to the teaching content and teaching model,the teaching design is targeted at different types of chemistry knowledge and specific chemistry inquiry questions.Based on the above theoretical design,select two parallel classes of senior one for teaching practice.Experimental classes are taught using a structured teaching model,and control classes are taught using a conventional teaching model.After the end of teaching practice,a questionnaire was designed and analyzed based on the students’ different levels of knowledge of the essence of science and the teaching effect of the teaching model.Research shows that applying the HPS concept to inquiry experimental teaching can effectively promote the cultivation of core literacy of students in chemistry.Based on students’ understanding of the history of chemistry and the history of chemistry experiments,this model can help students understand the nature of science from different perspectives.In the inquiry experiment,students’ scientific inquiry ability and innovative spirit have been further improved,and their personality has been well developed.
