With the acceleration of the socialist modernization process and the improvement of the national living standard in China, not only the urban-rural economic gap is large, but also the polarization of the rich and the poor within the city is serious. At present, although the material life is basically satisfied with the support of national macro policies such as the urban subsistence allowance and the school aid for the poor, compared with normal urban families,on the one hand, the gap between the rich and the poor is obvious, the Base is weak, and the distribution of resources is uneven,on the other hand, the identity of children from low-income families makes such children have low sense of self-efficacy,lack of sense of purpose and significance in their study and life, and often display negative emotions such as inferiority and cowardice in interpersonal communication, which leads to behavior deviation,it's a sign of low resistance. In recent years, research on how to improve the resilience of children has mainly focused on the malnutrition, the lack of medical resources and the lack of educational resources for migrant children, disabled children and left-behind children, less attention has been paid to this group of children from urban low-income families and their psychological and behavioral problems. As a professional helping work, social work plays an important role in helping social special groups. From the perspective of social work, based on the theory of dominance perspective and social support, this paper discusses how to improve the resilience of children from urban low-income families at the micro level by using the working methods of professional groups, through questionnaire investigation and in-depth interview with children from urban low-income families, the present situation and reasons of resilience of this group were understood,on the basis of comprehensive evaluation,a group of 10 children from urban low-income families with low level of resilience was selected,a reciprocal learning group model was used to conduct six group activities on the theme of enhancing the internal and external protective factors of children's resilience.Through the use of professional methods of group work,it plays a positive role in enhancing the self-confidence and insight of children from low-income families.Clients can show concern, response and active problem-solving ability in their communication with others,be able to set learning goals, make plans, and put effort into action. The study found that the children interviewed were in a weak position in terms of social resources and family economy, and their overall resilience was at a medium to low level, the main reasons for the low level of resilience of children in low-income families lie in the deficiency of inner strength and the low function of external support. This paper summarizes the practical experience of this social work from three aspects: working methods, practical effect and social worker's role, pointing out the problems of single service form, limited service time and limited service object in this group activity, and aiming at these problems, putting forward the suggestions of further improving children's resilience level,in addition to promoting social competence,self-esteem and autonomy, goals and sense of meaning in groups for children from urban families,it is necessary to help achieve effective integration of resources, promote school social work and raise the level of child discipline.
