The concept of core literacy was proposed for future social change for the 21st century,In 1997,OECD launched the “definition and selection of literacy: the basis of theory and concept(DeSeCo)” transnational cooperation project,and then international organizations,advanced countries and regions have implemented curriculum reform based on core literacy.In 2014,China formally put forward a document of “implementing the fundamental task of cultivating talents through morality” issued by the Ministry of education,which specifically proposed to study the core literacy system of students in each period of study.In February 2016,China Education Society released the “core literacy of Chinese students development(draft for comments)”.In September of the same year,the state released the research results of“Chinese students' development of core literacy”.The paper pointed out that the core literacy system of Chinese students should be with all-round development.The mathematics curriculum standard of general high school(2017 Edition)(hereinafter referred to as the new curriculum standard 2017)mentioned that students' development should be taken as the basis to improve students' quality,and put forward six mathematical core qualities such as mathematical abstraction.At present,the research on the core literacy of mathematics subject,including its structure and the way of realization,has gradually become a hot topic in the field of education in our country and even in the world,and has been deepening constantly.The reform of basic education curriculum is gradually entering the era of “core literacy”.This paper takes the exercises as the research object which includes the three chapters of“quadratic function”,“triangle” and “probability preliminary” of the current junior high school mathematics textbook of our country,and takes content analysis and comparison analysis as the main research methods.Based on the new curriculum standard 2017,this paper discusses three problems:(1)The situation types of exercises and the proportion of various situation types in the three chapters of the textbook.(2)The types,times and proportion of all kinds of mathematical core literacy embodied in the exercises.(3)The exercises reflect the level of each core literacy,the times and proportion of each core literacy at different levels.The results are as follows:(1)The distribution of situation types of exercises in sample textbooks is not balanced.In other subjects,the problem sets of situation type are the least,the problem sets of life situation type are less,and the problem sets of pure mathematics subject are the most.(2)In the exercises of the textbook,the core literacy of mathematics discipline is reflected,but the gap between the quantity of various literacy is relatively large,and the number of mathematical modeling literacy is the least.(3)All kinds of mathematics subject core literacy embodied in textbook exercises are at level one or level two,not at level three.
