As the frontier branch of mathematics learning,fractal geometry has a wide range of applications in various fields,which provides researchers with a new perspective to analyze the world and solve problems.It reveals a new world outlook and methodology to us.In the field of education,fractal geometry also has its unique value,which is mainly reflected in the guidance to education ideology and conception as well as the learning value of fractal geometry itself.Therefore,the study on its entry into high school mathematics has been one of the research topics among mathematics educators.On the basis of the introductions to its history,related concepts,definitions,properties,characteristics as well as some related applications,the essay further discusses the educational value of fractal geometry and its feasibility of entering the textbooks.There are many ways for fractal geometry to enter senior high school mathematics,each of which has its own characteristics.The school-based course of fractal geometry is the most suitable one.This essay mainly adopts the methods of documents and action study.After reading the relevant documents,the author selects and collates the documents of"school-based course" and "fractal geometry" and extracts more theories about these aspects.Further research is carried out on the development of school-based course of fractal geometry,including the connotation and objective of the course,the content and framework of the course as well as the implementation and assessment.Then the framework of the course development is generally confirmed.Moreover,the teaching materials for the course should be carefully prepared,the subjects are supposed to be selected properly and the teaching designs are to be adapted to the level of high school students.Having carried out school-based courses of fractal geometry in real classes,the author has a deeper understanding of the school-based curriculum of fractal geometry.Nowadays,students pay attention to deduction,reasoning and proof in mathematics learning,that is to say,we often focus on the students' ability to analyze and solve problems.However,with the development of society,new problems and new challenges are constantly put forward,which poses more and more severe challenges to people's comprehensive quality,especially to people's ability to find problems and develop new thinking.Fractal geometry is an excellent course which can develop students' ability to approach them.It can stimulate students' passion and dream of solving the unknown and exploring the world.It also has an effect on the students'future development.In short,it can cultivate students' innovative thinking.Meanwhile,in real classes,the educators should follow the three principles in the selection of teaching content:basic principle,pioneering principle and entertaining principle.In the choice of teaching strategies,the educators should choose different teaching strategies according to the different teaching content and scenes of teaching.The appropriate teaching strategies can make teaching get twice the result with half the effort.
