Innovative thinking is not only the core literacy of primary school students, but also the main goal of primary school information technology teaching.Primary school students' innovative thinking can be characterized from four dimensions: curiosity, adventurousness, challenge, and imagination.Elementary school information technology teachers should integrate the four dimensions of innovative thinking into the three-dimensional goals of information technology teaching to cultivate students' innovative thinking. In the dimensions of knowledge and skills, students' imagination is cultivated through the construction of visual programming work design ideas. In the dimensions of process and method, students' curiosity and imagination are cultivated through work analysis, and students' imagination and adventurousness are cultivated by adding their own creativity and brainstorming activities through continuous improvement on the basis of original works. In the dimensions of emotions, attitudes and values, students are challenged and adventurous by showing and sharing their works to others. On the basis of constructivism and inquiry-based learning theory, this research uses Scratch as an example to explore a teaching design process based on the cultivation of primary school students' innovative thinking, namely, creating clear contextual tasks to cultivate students' curiosity, analysis tasks to carry out discussions and cultivate students' imagination and autonomy.Explore collaborative creation to cultivate students' challenge and adventurousness, and interactive exchanges of effect evaluation cultivate students' adventurousness, challenge and imagination.According to the above-mentioned teaching activity design process and the principle of gradual and orderly progress, this research designed the teaching content of 15 class hours in the first semester of the fourth grade into three categories ranging from simple to complex, namely "through the labyrinth","hidden laughter",and "good food".A comprehensive teaching case with increasing difficulty. In the practice process of the above teaching case, the innovative thinking of the students' programming work was analyzed, and based on the before and after tests and analysis of the students using the "Williams Creativity Tendency Scale",high scores,Interviews were conducted among students with median and low scores. On this basis, the research is analyzed and summarized from the four dimensions of innovative thinking.Practical research shows that it is feasible to use the above-mentioned instructional design process to cultivate the innovative thinking of primary school students, and the three comprehensive teaching cases designed with this process are effective for the cultivating of innovative thinking of primary school students.
