As an important part of the intellectuals,the people's teachers play an important role in the Chinese revolution and construction.The traditional normal education that Mao Zedong received in his youth,as well as the educational practice experience in the revolution and construction,made him deepen his understanding of the profession of teacher and put forward the theory of teacher's work,which has an important guiding significance to the development of education work.Mao Zedong was deeply influenced by the thought of "respecting teachers and valuing the way" in traditional culture and the advanced education thought in the "May Fourth Movement" period.He not only modestly learned from and respected teachers,but also devoted himself to improving the status and economic treatment of teachers,encouraging teachers to give full play to the important role of cultivating people through virtue in teaching.In the process of leading the Chinese revolution and construction,he used the universal principles of Marxism-Leninism to analyze and solve the problems of Chinese education,attached importance to the fairness and popularization of civilian education,and advocated that education should serve the revolution and economic construction.In his educational practice,Mao Zedong's thought has undergone a change from the theory of national salvation through education to the theory of national salvation through education serving revolution.In Mao Zedong's theory of national salvation through education,he believed that the important role of teachers was to use educational tools to promote social evolution,and after his educational thought was transformed into the theory of revolutionary national salvation through education,he believed that the important role of workers' night school,which deepened his understanding of teachers' work in teaching practice.In 1920,MAO zedong as the division attached primary school principals,then set up and many peasant night school of hunan self-study university,in the work he is committed to reform education teaching,pay more attention to the balance of the student's mental and physical development,combine theory study with social practical problems,and guide students to establish marxist world outlook and lofty ideal of communism.During the Agrarian Revolution,Mao Zedong called for mass education to be carried out in all revolutionary base areas,and teachers and students participated in productive labor together.In 1936,Mao Zedong proposed and founded the Anti-Japanese Red Army University,where he personally taught political lessons and made situation reports to train outstanding military and political cadres.On the basis of summing up the experience of learning and education practice in the period of democratic revolution,Mao zedong put forward some theoretical viewpoints,such as attaching importance to the status and function of teachers,teachers should be "loyal to the party's educational cause",and teaching must combine theory with practice,which have important guiding significance for the development of revolutionary education work.After the founding of new China,Mao zedong personally participate in the guidance for the construction of the new China's education career,his people's teacher thought has also been further enriched and developed,he advocated to improve teachers' political status,pay attention to teachers' ideological remolding,advocating combination of education with productive labor,the party and the government also further establish and improve the system of teacher training and training.Mao Zedong required teachers to be "red and professional",to be students of the people modestly,to set up a student-oriented idea,and to encourage teachers to actively participate in the teaching reform.Under the leadership of the Party and the government in education and teacher work,the quality of our teachers has been significantly improved.In the new era,the principal contradiction facing society has changed,and we need to give priority to the development of education to meet the people's ever-growing demand for education.Mao Zedong's theories,such as attaching importance to teachers' social status,teachers should have solid knowledge and teachers should have good political accomplishment,provide theoretical support for strengthening the construction of teachers in the new era.On the basis of summarizing the teaching experience,he puts forward the theoretical views that teachers should adhere to the correct political direction,set up advanced educational ideas,teachers should pay attention to the flexibility of teaching methods,etc.,which provide empirical guidance for the construction of teachers in the new era.Mao Zedong's thoughts on teaching reform and his emphasis on the construction of teachers provide important enlightenment for deepening education reform in an all-round way.
