Talented people are most valuable for a country, especially in a highly competitive world for China, launching on turning its population pressure into tremendous talents advantages. The conversion as a major mission, which calls for profound and comprehensive changes, should be completed smoothly with all speed. One efficient way to accomplish the momentous decision is learning from forerunners fruitful conducts. The talents practices of Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin serve models for the issue. All three of Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin have fulfilled the arduous tasks comparably. In this regard many efforts have been made to discuss the meaning and the significance of their talents thoughts in academic circles. Marked progresses, Prof. Luo Hongtie's study with the most typical, have been made on this topic. Great attention has been paid on the connotation and the value of Leaders'talents thoughts, where substantive results have been achieved.For the sake of essentials being grasped, Mao Zedong's, Deng Xiaoping's and Jiang Zemin's talents thoughts are regarded as the consequenecs of Marxists'talents thoughts in China. Their characteristic thoughts constitute the three stages of Chinese Marxists'talents. In accordance with the consideration, methods of systematic research, comparison, text reading and conflict analysis are employed.Innovations of this thesis are as follows. Firstly, the similarities of the three on methodology and ideological source are interpreted profoundly. Secondly, the common points on their theorietical characteristic, spiritual essence and value are presented. Thirdly, the differences among Mao Zedong's, Deng Xiaoping's and Jiang Zemin's talents thoughts are made from both their themes of three stages and their expression.The layout of the dissertation is composed of an introduction, an end and a body of it, into whom 5 chapters is divided. The details are as follows: The introduction explains fundamental issues briefly. The title was chosen because of theoretical and practice needs as mentioned above. The work is hoped to be beneficial both to the studying on Marxist'talents theory in China and to the growing up of talents. Object and methods of the research are carefully studied and concisely expressed. The focus, difficulties and possible innovation of the work are designed and displayed. A summary on the current research transfers the introduction to the the body.Chapter I shows Mao Zedong's talents thought from two dimensions. It is divided into 5 periods, according to the talents problem it tried to solve from the historic point of view, even though the thought based on one theme, which require Chinese to lay foundation for modernization. Main points of each period are given. Moreover the thought is explained from the academic point of view. Both the theoretical profile and the framework came from the unique talents practice of Mao Zedong, led the pressed Chinese workers and peasants the way to revolutionists, statesmen, generals, artists and builders of new China. The third part explores the theoretical and practical significance of Mao Zedong's talents thought. The thought had created the tradition of Marxist' talents thought in China, while turning millions of workers and farmers into talents whose efforts changed China greatly.Chapter II displays Deng Xiaoping's talents thought in the same pattern. Deng Xiaoping's talents thought is composed of 3 stages, each of which had its practice problem. With the core of "Respecting both knowledge and talents", the thought is consisted of theory on status of talents, quality of talents, selection of talents, and management of talents. The third part explores the theoretical and practical significance of Deng Xiaoping's talents thought. Deng Xiaoping inherited and developed Mao Zedong's talents thought, while changing millions of educated youth, workers, peasants and soldiers into teachers, researchers, lawyers, managers and other enterprising professionals. And most other people became New Generation with Four Qualifications. The work of people all above has changed China in economy, science and technology.Chapter III reveals Jiang Zemin's talents thought same as above. There are 2 stages in the process of its development, which focused on 2 questions posed by a major problem in the reality. Theory on "Talent, the first and foremost resource", on strategic position of talents, on reconstruction of talents, on qualities of talents, on management of talents constructs the contents of Jiang Zemins'talent thought. The significance on theoretical and practical has been discussed at the third part. The contribution of Jiang is that he inherited and developed the tradition of Chinese Marxist'talents thought, while people from all walk of life concentrating on cultivating their innovation ability. The efforts of innovation improved the economy, culture, science and technology in the country greatly.Chapter IV compares the above mentioned three thoughts from different angles. Firstly, they share Marxist theory of "all-round development of man" as theoretical basis. Secondly, the same methodology and cultural source are employed, they all inherited essence from Chinese traditional culture, though different aspects were grasped. Thirdly, they enjoy one theoretical charicteric, spiritual essence and value. Fourthly, the differences among the three both on the topic of Leaders'thouhgts and on their expression are revealed.Chapter V interprets throughout the theoretical and practical significance of Mao Zedong's, Deng Xiaoping's and Jiang Zemin's talents thoughts in contemporary society. The three of all adhered to and developed Marxist talent thought, created and followed the tradition of Marxist's talent thought with Chinese characteristic, while enriching the system of Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and "Three Represents" Important Thought. From the view of practice, they reveal the way of "talent power", in which the heavy pressure of population would be changed smoothly into tremendous competitive advantages.The end confirms the thinking structure of the dissertation, in which stressing on mutual influence between practice and the thoughts of the above Leaders'. However, with this framework the depth and breadth are displayed which marks the uniqueness of Mao Zedong's, Deng Xiaoping's and Jiang Zemin's talents thoughts. It is the depth and breadth leads to the difficulties in study and inspires authour's passion of researching on, though with the thesis of limitation at the end of the study.
