Mao Zedong's education thought is an important part of Mao Zedong's thought, and his thought on teaching reform is also an integral part of Mao Zedong's education thought. Mao Zedong's thought on teaching reform has extremely deep and abundant content. He shows great foresight to put forward many radical and directive thoughts and principles of teaching reform. It has established the basic theory frame of the socialistic teaching reform with Chinese characteristcs, and provided instructional thought and theoretical principle for nowadays teaching reform in China. We are roundly pushing forward quality education and deepening teaching reform today, it is of important theoretical value and far-reaching realistic significance to research and creatively develop Mao Zedong's thought on teaching reform.The thesis consists of five parts:The first part is introduction. It briefly introduces the reason and significance of this thesis, summarizes the status of study about Mao Zedong's thought on teaching reform, and illustrates the research idea and method.In part 2, the author gives a definition of Mao Zedong's thought on teaching reform. The author holds that Mao Zedong's thought on teaching reform is a series of important viewpoints about teaching reform aimed at unenlightened educational status or teaching theories, which is mentioned by Mao Zedong making use of Marxist basic principles in the process of guiding Chinese new democracy revolution and socialism revolution and construction.In third part, the author generalizes main content of Mao Zedong's thought on teaching reform. It mainly includes: the starting point of teaching reform is that teaching must serve for Chinese revolution and construction; the purpose of teaching reform is unification between integrated development and personality development; centered on such aspects as reforms of educational system, curricula and teaching materials, method of teaching, examination method and teacher-pupil relationship; the key of teaching reform is teacher.In fourth part, the author analyzes basic characteristics of Mao Zedong's thought on teaching reform. They are: paying attention to practice, advocating elicitation, developing personality and encouraging innovation. All of these characteristics lie on theoretical foundation of Marxist philosophy, historical background of transformation from feudal education to modern education in China in 20 centuries as well as Mao Zedong's education career, which show that his unique way of thinking-education revolutionary.In fifth part, the author discourses the contemporary value of Mao Zedong's thought on teaching reform. Xt mainly includes: achieving the unity between integrated development and personality development; cultivating and developing students' subjectivity; nearly making contact with life; cultivating innovation spirit and ability.
