A Case Work Study On The Improvement Of Self-worth Of Stay-at-home Mothers From The Perspective Of Empowerment

With the concern of the society for the healthy growth of children and the imperfect development of childcare institutions,more and more women choose to leave the workplace and return to their families after giving birth,and take the responsibility of take care of and educate their children.However,due to the influence of traditional concepts,the value of full-time mothers has been underestimated,and they also have to bear the risk of marriage.For various reasons,full-time mothers are under more and more psychological pressure and life pressure,and their sense of self-worth is getting lower and lower.Through the investigation of full-time mothers Self-worth in F community,this paper understands the current situation and needs of full-time mothers self-worth.Through questionnaire analysis,Through questionnaire analysis,it is found that stay-at-home mothers have insufficient sense of self-identity in life attitude.In terms of communicative competence,the frequency of social activities is low;The lack of understanding given by family members in terms of family relations;Inadequate social support and security in terms of social relations.Combined with the interview,summed up the needs of full-time mothers,that is,to improve their self-identity,have a positive and optimistic attitude towards life,Improve their interpersonal skills;Get more support and recognition from their families;Community integration,expanding social circle.Finally,According to the survey result,typical cases are selected as the object of case work service.Under the guidance of empowerment theory,empowerment is carried out from three aspects of individual,interpersonal relationship and social participation.After the completion of the three stages of case service,the service object was measured before and after using the self-worth scale.The results show that the service objects scores in four dimensions of life attitude,communication ability,family relationship and social relationship were significantly improved.Finally,in the part of summary and reflection.The case service of this study focuses on empowering individuals,improving the initiative of service objects,and improving self-worth through the improvement of social support network.In addition,from the application of empowerment theory,the use of professional skills and professional relationship ethics and other aspects of the existing shortcomings of service reflection,provides a reference for related research.
