Since the beginning of the 21 st century, the number of women returning home to become full-time mothers has been rising as education requirements have increased. As of today, some of them have entered the new empty-nest period, when the children leave the nest, the child-centered life pattern is broken, the time occupied by family life is greatly reduced, and they have the situation of empty life.Participating in social life can effectively alleviate their emptiness in life.Employment is the main form of participation in social life in China. That is to say,stay-at-home mothers in this period can ease their emptiness in life by returning to work.Numerous studies have also shown that they are in need of employment. However, they have problems such as lack of confidence and low self-efficacy in job hunting, which all indicate that stay-at-home mothers in new empty-nest families have low self-efficacy in job hunting. In the job-hunting process,job-hunting behaviors,job-hunting intentions and job-hunting results of job-hunting are all affected by job-hunting self-efficacy.Therefore,it is necessary to enhance the job-hunting self-efficacy of stay-at-home mothers in new empty-nest families so as to help them enhance their job-hunting enthusiasm and promote better job-hunting results.Based on the theoretical basis of job-seeking self-efficacy,this paper explores the intervention methods of social work involving the job-seeking self-efficacy of stay-at-home mothers in new empty-nest families through case studies.By means of questionnaire survey and interview, this paper explores the current situation of job seeking self-efficacy of service objects from two dimensions of job seeking self-efficacy,and analyzes the factors that affect the job seeking self-efficacy of clients. On this basis, the service plan is formulated and implemented. The intervention of interviewees' job seeking self-efficacy was also carried out from two dimensions: job seeking behavior self-efficacy and job seeking result self-efficacy.It is found that social work is feasible and effective to intervene stay-at-home mothers' job-seeking self-efficacy in new empty-nest families. When social workers intervene, they can promote the improvement of job-seeking self-efficacy from five aspects:self-exploration,career exploration,job-seeking ability,job-seeking goal, and career planning. The first three aspects mainly affect the self-efficacy of job-seeking behavior, and the last two aspects affect the self-efficacy of job-seeking results. When social workers interfere with job seeking self-efficacy,the emotional status of the clients is worth paying attention to.Emphasizing advantages can enhance the client's self-recognition and promote the promotion of job-seeking self-efficacy.The use of social worker skills such as encouragement is of great significance to the improvement of job seekers' self-efficacy.It is also a key point to guide stay-at-home mothers to make positive interpretation of stay-at-home mothers.
