In 2014,the system of developing Chinese students’ key competencies which covering each subject and every learning period was put forward.Meantime,the ministry of education clearly indicates that we are going to study it and tries to embody it in actual teaching classroom,in order to realize the education task of strengthening moral education and cultivate people.In 2016,the system of developing Chinese students’ key competencies was officially issued.In 2017,the new curriculum standard was officially issued.The teaching methods based on key competencies in favor of cultivating and enhancing personal ability of students,totally developing students’ comprehensive quality.At the same time,this kind of teaching methods id benefit to national talent cultivation in the 21th century.Firstly,the author consults lots of literature in CNKI,then sorts out and analyses the research condition aimed at key competencies at home and abroad.On the basis of that,the author clearly confirms the research purpose and significance and the research thinking and methods.After expounding the connotation of discipline core quality and analyzing constructivist learning theory and the theory of humanistic learning and Bruner’s cognitive structural learning theory,under these theoretical direction,the author proceeds the teaching design and sets different teaching situations and activities which are based on chemistry key competencies.By means of conducting questionnaire to the students,the author preliminary know high school chemistry teaching status.By taking advantage of teacher interview,the author knows the situation of teachers whether carry out the key competencies or not.After analysis by synthesis,the author put the thinking of cultivating students’ key competencies into the teaching methods.Later,taking the senior two students of Puyang First Senior High School as the research object,adopting new teaching design,the author conducts a semester of teaching practice.By students interview and by adopting T-test analysis of the scores of grade one promotion exam and mid-term examination in the first semester of grade two and the final exam in the first semester of grade two and class test paper,the author can compare significant differences in performance,and reflects the difference between traditional teaching mode and new teaching design based on key competencies.Practical research shows that new teaching design is benefit to chemistry learning and student development in the future.It can promote the development of competencies and turn students into innovative talents which is wanted in modern society.This paper is made up of six aspects.The first aspect points out the problem discovery and presentation,meanwhile,sorts out and analyses the research condition aimed at key competencies at home and abroad,confirms the research purpose and significance and the research thinking and methods.The second aspect analyse the core concepts and theoretical basis.The third aspect conducts questionnaire and interview in order to know high school chemistry teaching status and the situation of teachers whether carry out the key competencies or not.The fourth aspect introduces the teaching design based on chemistry key competencies in detail.The fifth aspect introduces the teaching practice and analysis of practical effect.The sixth aspect draws a conclusion and proceeds reflection and prospect.
