In recent years,critical thinking ability has attracted wide attention,and it has become an international trend to cultivate critical thinking ability in teaching.Wen Rumin,chief editor of the unified compilation of textbooks,pointed out that students’ thinking training,especially critical thinking ability,should be strengthened in teaching,which is the weakness of Chinese teaching.Junior high school students are in the critical period of thinking development,so it is a must to cultivate critical thinking ability.In this context,it is of great value to conduct research on Chinese reading teaching to cultivate junior high school students’ critical thinking ability.In combination with the nature of Chinese courses and the training objectives of reading teaching,this study holds that critical thinking ability refers to an innovative ability of students who are good at questioning,dare to put forward different opinions,think individualized and interpret the text in multiple ways,so as to reflect students’ dominant position and develop their Chinese core literacy.The cultivation of this ability requires teachers to take scientific theory as the guide and carry out effective teaching practice.Based on the above understanding,the author adopts the methods of questionnaire survey and classroom interview to understand the current situation of cultivating students’ critical thinking ability in the middle school of A Middle School in Suzhou.It is found that students lack critical thinking awareness in pre-class preview and have low enthusiasm for thinking questions in reading class.The teachers have weak awareness of cultivating students’ critical thinking ability,lack of depth of critical thinking in class questioning,and have fixed thinking patterns in analyzing and interpreting texts.The Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)advocates multi-angle and innovative reading in the suggestions of reading teaching.The links of reading expectation,reflection and criticism can be used to expand the fantasy space of thinking.By referring to relevant literature,it is found that acceptance theory,as an important theory of literary appreciation,can effectively help students to have personalized understanding of texts and think from multiple perspectives.Its main ideas,"horizon of expectation","reader-oriented","calling structure" and "vision fusion",are also closely related to critical thinking.Therefore,the author combs the relevant literature.
