Since the 8th curriculum reform in China in 2001,the educational objectives of mathematics curriculum have focused more on the essential quality,key ability and values of each student in adaptation to the future social life and lifelong learning as well as their development in an all-around way based on the course of mathematics curriculum reform in the past 20 years from exam-oriented education to quality-oriented education,from "double-base" to "three-dimensional goal" to "four-base and four-ability",and then to the new stage of education marked by the core competencies.Therefore,how to implement the goals of core competencies is of great urgency for mathematics education.Classroom teaching is the core of school education and teaching.It is the main channel to implement the goals of national education and curriculum.The classroom teaching evaluation has a practical significance as it plays an important role in guiding teachers to improve their teaching,their teaching quality and perfect teaching management by constructing scientific and reasonable evaluation criteria as well as making objective and comprehensive value judgment to classroom teaching.The study discusses the existing problems in the evaluation of primary school mathematics classroom teaching after clarify the status quo of the evaluation of primary school mathematics classroom teaching in China through literature research,investigation and interview,etc.The study analyzes the goals of mathematics classroom teaching in primary school,learning style,the requirements of the teaching mode reform on the basis of the core competencies by assimilating advanced theories and practical experience of classroom teaching evaluation at home and abroad and inherit the good tradition and advanced practice at the same time.By exploring the implementation of the core competencies in ways and strategies,the study aims to optimize and upgrade the evaluation principles,methods and tools of mathematics classroom teaching in primary school.By using Delphi Method,analytic hierarchy process and other scientific research methods,the study constructs a evaluation index system of mathematics classroom teaching in primary school based on the core competencies.It develops a series of observation and measurement tools and carries out practical application in the purpose of integrating the core competencies into every link of mathematics classroom teaching in primary school from the educational objectives and educational theoretical framework,so as to give better play to the functions of classroom teaching evaluation,such as diagnosis,feedback,guidance,motivation and regulation,etc.to realize an effective evaluation of mathematics classroom teaching in primary school based on the development of the core competencies.
