Nowadays, data affects all aspects of human society, not only affecting people's lifestyles and working styles, but also affecting people's ways of thinking. In the age of Data, all social phenomena and behaviors can be “digitized” as data that could be collected, stored, analyzed and utilized with the big data technology.Upon this, the big database can support a more accurate interpretation of needs, dynamic changes, services, and predictions, which is greatly beyond the traditional information acquisition and interpretation capabilities. The class, the grassroots of the school, the basic unit of teaching, the learning community,is of great significance to the individual socialization and life-long development of students.Efficient class operation is inseparable from scientific and accurate management. The key to accurate class management is to establish a scientific class evaluation mechanism.Applying the data technology to class evaluation can greatly improve the total factor productivity of class management, facilitate a well-ordered and high-qualified class, and promote the all-round development of students. There are many fruitful domestic and foreign documents focused on class management based on big data. Most researchers have paid more attention to the college management and vocational education strategies,or proposed solutions to the current situation according to the subject, environment, process of class management, etc. However, there is few researchers systematically analyzing the combination of the big data and high school class management evaluations on which the author will focus. This paper mainly consists of four parts: the theoretical foundation of high school class evaluation management based on data, current situation analysis, problems and strategies. The theoretical foundation part mainly clarifies three basic concepts of class and class management, evaluation and class evaluation, and data. And it also elaborates the key theoretical support of this paper which is data science and the core literacy of Chinese student development.Through a questionnaire survey of S high school head teachers and students,I have summarized and analyzed the current implementation status, problems and deficiencies of data-supported class evaluation. The results show that most head teachers and students support and adopt a data-supported class evaluation system. The data used for class evaluation has a relatively clear understanding, the whole evaluation process goes democratic, the data can be partly used to the evaluation implementation process, and the students' overall recognition of the class evaluation supported by the data is relatively high. However, due to the technical conditions, head teachers' experience, and students' self-management ability, class evaluation based on data support also presents some problems which includes incomplete evaluation indicators, narrowing data definitions during operation, incorrect or inefficient data collection and analysis mechanisms,non-continuous system, lack of fairness in some students that cannot be ignored in the student group, poor interaction between evaluation subjects, and poor performance of evaluation development incentives. The author proposes the following solutions to the problems exposed in reality: firstly,we should clarify the functions and principles of data supported high school class evaluation;secondly,we should intensify the cognition of data and establish the class evaluation system with a scientific indicator system;thirdly,we must build a scientific and efficient evaluation implementation mechanism to effectively collect and analyze data;fourthly,we can make good use of data resources to promote a well-ordered and high-qualified class, and encourage students to make overall progress and life-long development.
