With the continuous development of information technology,short videos represented by Tik Tok and Kuaishou,have emerged among the public.Every ordinary person can show his personal style through these short and concise videos,bringing help or joy to others.The main reasons for its popularity are the widespread use of mobile phones and people's fast pace of life in modern society,causing the need to learn knowledge or relax themselves in scattered time through short videos.Under this background,the usage of short videos in the field of education is expanding quickly,of which micro-course is the most representative one.If you search the term “micro-course” by the How Net,the research of micro-course has risen year by year from 2011 to 2019,especially the year from 2014 to 2019.As a full-time high school physics teacher,after breakout of the novel coronavirus,the author changed the offline classroom teaching to online teaching,making some unconscious students more undisciplined.Specially,when it comes to electromagnetic induction in Chapter 2 of the compulsory course,it is abstract for students to understand.However,the micro-class has injected new vitality for teaching,guaranteeing the effect of the online classes.The introduction analyzes the research background,explaining the reason of the rise of the micro-course and explores the significance of its research under the change of the evaluation system of high school physics as well as the college entrance examination reform,followed by the research purpose and current research both at home and abroad.The body part first explains the basic concept of micro-course and the theoretical basis,the common method of producing micro-course,the comparison of traditional teaching and micro-course teaching as well as the application of micro-course in physics teaching.Besides,the author studies the understanding of the micro-course and the use of it in schools by surveying 64 teachers and 255 students.By analyzing the data,it can be seen that teachers do not use micro-course teaching frequently and students do not have much contact with micro-course teaching,which strengthens the motivation of the author's study.The methods of the study is based on We Chat applet in order to explore the significance and role of micro-course in students' learning.By comparing the experimental group and the control group,it is concluded that the micro-course teaching is of practical significance and obvious effect to improve physics teaching and cultivate top students.At the same time,recording the micro-course by students' themselves can strengthen their confidence in learning and improvement of their grade.
