Geometric intuition mainly refers to the use of graphics to describe and analyze problems.Using geometric intuition can make abstract mathematical problems simple and easy to understand, thereby improving students' ability to solve mathematical problems. In the "Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards" promulgated in 2011,geometric intuition is one of the ten core concepts. It can help students understand mathematics intuitively and play an important role in the entire mathematics learning process. This study compares the difference in teaching of geometric intuition between excellent and difficult junior middle school mathematics students. One middle school in each city, county and town, and a total of 327 students in three grades of junior high school are selected as the research objects.According to relevant literature,a geometric intuitive test scale for junior high school students is compiled, and the average scores of the monthly and mid-term math tests, teacher evaluation and student self-identification are used as references to classify excellent students and difficult students. The results of the study are as follows:(1)Generally speaking, there are significant differences in the performance of students of different grades. The scores of students in grade 9 are significantly higher than those in grade 8,with an average difference of 10.30.Girls' geometric intuition ability is higher than that of boys. The regression equation of the influence of geometric intuition on mathematics academic performance of junior high school students is:(2)There is a significant difference in geometric intuitive ability between excellent and difficult students in mathematics.Compared with students with difficulty in mathematics, students with excellent mathematics have stronger intuitive ability in geometry, and their academic performance in mathematics will be better.Students with better mathematics scores will also have certain shortcomings in geometric intuition ability, while students with poor math scores also have certain geometric intuition ability, but they are not stable.(3)There is a significant difference between the outstanding and difficult students in mathematics on the topics of the geometric intuition test paper. The test results show that there is a significant difference between outstanding mathematics students and difficult students for questions 11,13 and 14.The scores of outstanding mathematics students on questions 11 and 13 are significantly higher than those of difficult mathematics students, and they are in the 7th place. There is no significant difference between the questions.(4)There is a difference in the three levels of geometric intuition between outstanding and difficult students in mathematics. At the first level of geometric intuition, students with difficulty in mathematics have a low level of mastery of the topic, and there is a big gap between them and excellent students in mathematics;at the second level of geometric intuition, there is a clear difference between excellent and difficult students in mathematics, and The more difficult the question, the more obvious the gap.At the third level of geometric intuition, excellent and difficult mathematics students' mastery of the third level of geometric intuition will get lower and lower as the difficulty increases.Junior high school mathematics excellent students and difficult students have formed a basic understanding of graphics, and can visually imagine the position of the graphics in their minds. However, both excellent and difficult students in mathematics have obvious shortcomings in using graphics to solve practical problems..The main reason is that this type of question is highly comprehensive and difficult,so it is necessary to strengthen the ability of excellent and difficult students in mathematics to solve situational problems by using geometric figures.Teachers should pay attention to the overall teaching of geometric intuition and help students with difficulties in mathematics to improve their ability in geometric intuition.
