The college entrance examination is like a single-plank bridge.Every June,countless students push and squeeze to the front of the bridge.If they successfully cross it,they can reach their ideal university.If not,they may go back to senior high school.It has to be admitted that since the college entrance examination system resumed in 1977,the number of students who chose to repeat senior year(senior 4students)has been increasing with each passing year.While the public are discussing the "the phenomenon of repeating senior year",few people care about the repeating experience,psychological feelings and inner thoughts of senior 4 students.This paper focuses on the research topic: What is the school life experience of senior 4 students? Based on the interviews and text analysis,this study has chosen two senior 4 students as research objects on the basis of the previous research of twelve senior 4 students in high school X.Through the overall description of their stories during repeating senior year,it focuses on their campus life and educational situation,and tries to explore the connotation behind these experiences and dig out the reasons for these experiences.This study found that these two students were full of different degrees of hope and expectation when entering high school X,however,they were suffering,and fell into self-contradiction and even self-loss during repeating.It can be said that the background of their school life experience is "hesitation",which is specifically manifested as: in learning,they struggled at the edge of "learning" and "muddling".The vision of going to a good university made them positive,but negative learning made them feel helpless and disappointed.In interpersonal relationship,they were at the edge of "warm" and "cold".The teachers' conscientiousness made them feel sincere and warm,but the unfair treatment made them feel isolated and lonely.In terms of self-cognition,they were on the edge of "self-esteem" and "inferiority".The desire for success solidified their self-esteem,but not being accepted by others made them feel inferior.The reasons for those students' hesitation in many aspects are complex: the individual's psychological experience of worrying about gain and loss of "one test determines one's life";the double standard of the school system;the influence of social stereotypes;the inadequate support of teachers and the influence of those students' own factors.Therefore,this paper has the following suggestions.First,schools should be fair and impartial.It should change the stereotype and respect senior 4 students.It should improve the management system and give equal treatment to those students,too.Second,teachers should provide loving care.They should strengthen class management and create a good class atmosphere.They also should sincerely accept senior 4 students and communicate with them.Third,senior 4 students should learn to adjust themselves.They should set clear goals and change ways of learning.They should evaluate themselves in the right way and cultivate a good attitude,too.
